as a parent, since 2013 before joining our staff, in 2017. She has experience

Coree Cornelius, Teacher

Hello! My name is Coree Cornelius. While I’m not from Maryland originally, the Broadneck Peninsula is the place my family decided to call our “forever home” once my husband retired from 25 years of active duty service in the military. Throughout our 12 Navy moves, which brought us to California, Hawaii, Rhode Island, and Virginia to name just a few of the states where we’ve lived, I worked as a high school and middle school certified special education teacher, and also had the opportunity to work with first grade students.

When our daughter was in preschool and elementary school, I had the privilege of being able to volunteer regularly at her schools. Working with preschool age students is a joy, and watching their excitement as they make friends, learn, sing, dance, create art, and play makes me smile
